ARTEVENTIA in Pohang: three cultures of fire, one shared sky

On November 21, 2026, ARTEVENTIA will take part in the Pohang International Light & Fire Festival in South Korea, alongside Hanwha and Hibikiya. Facing Yeongildae Beach, the French house will present LOVE BEYOND THE STARS, a creation that will bring its artistic universe into dialogue with those of the Korean and Japanese teams.

In Pohang, fire is part of the landscape. In this city on Korea’s east coast, known for its steel industry, it also becomes a material for creation. For the duration of the festival, light transforms the waterfront into an open stage, where residents and visitors gather to discover pyrotechnic signatures from several countries.

Held from November 19 to 21, 2026, this new edition will welcome ARTEVENTIA for the major international showcase on Saturday evening. The French house will share the bill with Hanwha for South Korea and Hibikiya for Japan.

Three signatures to discover

The presence of these three houses will give the public an opportunity to discover different ways of composing with fire. The choice of shapes, the place of colour, the rhythm of the sequences, and the way the sky is inhabited each carry an intention. Behind the effects, sensibilities, journeys, and cultures of spectacle come into view.

For ARTEVENTIA, taking part in this gathering is both an opportunity to present its work and a moment of exchange with other creators. On the same stage, each proposal invites us to look differently at a material they all share, yet each sets in motion in their own way.

LOVE BEYOND THE STARS, love as the horizon

For the Pohang Festival, ARTEVENTIA has composed LOVE BEYOND THE STARS — Love Beyond the Stars. A title that opens up an imagination where intimacy meets immensity: that of a feeling capable of crossing distances and finding, in the sky, a space equal to it.

Facing Yeongildae’s maritime horizon, this creation will invite the public into a sensitive interlude, carried by the evocative power of fire. Within this encounter between France, Japan, and South Korea, ARTEVENTIA will thus share a proposal whose title resonates with the spirit of the event: letting emotion travel beyond borders.

At Yeongildae, composing with the horizon

Yeongildae’s maritime setting will give this evening its depth and scale. Facing the beach, the sky becomes a space of composition whose balances must be considered: focusing the gaze, unfolding an image, allowing a breath, then opening a new perspective.

These choices are central to ARTEVENTIA’s approach. A show is built in the relationships between sequences, in the duration of an appearance as much as in the force of a change of pace. A suspended image can hold all attention before a broader movement transforms the perception of space.
