The Château de Chambord hosts the filming of “Song of the Year 2021”
The show was broadcast on TF1 on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 9:05 PM. This iconic site of French culture and history was adorned with lights, water jets and fireworks throughout the show.
Around fifty artists were present during the show, but only 18 of them were in competition. The duo Patrick Fiori and Florent Pagny won the 2021 edition with their song “j’y vais”.
A first on French television!
It was an incredible challenge that the approximately 200 technicians present during the filming of the show had to meet to organize this television scenography composed of lights, water jets and fireworks. Throughout the show, viewers were treated to a visual spectacle as a symbol of hope that we will all soon be reunited at future events. This is a first in France, since usually spectacular effects are reserved for the finale of shows. Also a first for some artists who expressed their joy at being in such a setting with such a production!
For the occasion, the pyrotechnic artists from ARTEVENTIA, under the artistic direction of Jérôme CLIPEZ and Edouard GREGOIRE, created a ballet of fire that took over and illuminated the French gardens of the Château de Chambord. One month of creation and one week of setup with eight pyrotechnicians were necessary to produce this pyrotechnic show. It was an immense pleasure for the team of pyrotechnicians to return to this place they cherish, after a particularly difficult year for the entire profession.
