Backstage — Crépusculairs
Gold Medal at the Montreal Competition
In the heart of summer 2024, ARTEVENTIA took on an exceptional artistic and technical challenge: creating Crépusculairs, an original pyrotechnic work presented as part of the prestigious Montreal International Fireworks Competition.
This show, crowned with the gold medal, represents far more than a technical victory: it is the expression of a singular visual language, an embraced emotional intensity, and the result of collective commitment.

A Creation Conceived as a Narrative Fresco
Crépusculairs is not simply a sequence of spectacular effects: it is a structured visual and sonic composition, conceived as a progression, a building tension, an exploration of contrasts between light and darkness.
The guiding idea—translating the passage from day to night, and the moment when fire becomes language—guided every artistic decision:
• the color palette
• the musical synchronization
• the rhythm of the explosions
• the visual breathing spaces
This meticulous composition is found throughout the show, forming an immersive narrative in which the sky becomes a stage.
A Team United Around a Vision
This success is the result of close collaboration between the various professions within ARTEVENTIA: pyrotechnicians, lighting engineers, technical coordinators, sound engineers, and of course the entire creative team.
Under the artistic direction of Édouard Grégoire, each member committed to transcending technical constraints to serve a common vision: making Crépusculairs an experience that is both poetic and spectacular.
The documentary “Edouard au feu ardent” produced by France 2 — 8:30 PM captures these rare moments of creation.
The video follows Édouard into the heart of the action, revealing the backstage of this architecture of fire.
This journalistic perspective reveals the profession in its truth: demanding, rigorous, passionate. But beyond the techniques, it also unveils the soul of a team bringing a collective creation to life.
A Gold Medal… and Much More
The gold medal awarded in Montreal is not only recognition of pyrotechnic quality: it is a validation of artistic vision, team cohesion, and ARTEVENTIA’s ability to compete with the greatest international creative houses.
This behind-the-scenes look—made possible thanks to France 2—reminds us that artistic creation is a human adventure before being a technical performance.
Thank you to all the ARTEVENTIA teams, to the partners who believed in this project, and to the audiences who continue to follow us in these bold explorations of fire and light.
